Great Basin Industrial was started by two Tankies, Cub and Smurf (if you know Tankies - meaning the guys who work on Industrial Tanks - you know they mostly go by their nicknames) who believed they could do a better job of customer service and quality work than the companies they were working for. So they prepared and submitted a bid on a project, and amongst steep competition, two Tankies got that bid! And that was the start of GBI.

Since then we've grown to over 660 full time employees and are anticipating a tripling in growth over the next five years. We now have offices in Texas, New Mexico, Wyoming, and Colorado along with our Headquarters located in Kaysville, UT. We also have a Railroad Division as well as a Fabrication Shop in Plymouth, UT that pre-fabricates all our parts for on-site assembly along with fabrication of product directly for customers.

What sets GBI apart? GBI carefully chooses and then develops their greatest assets, their employees. Individuals are promoted based on accountability, integrity, dedication, quality of work, and potential. Because of this philosophy of internal development, employment here comes with unlimited promise to those willing to put in a full day's work for a full day's pay. We enjoy a "Work Hard, Play Hard" mentality in a supportive culture that values work/life balance.
