Job Summary

Under the supervision of the school site administrator, the educator:
- reports onsite and maintains a Monday–Friday schedule totaling 40 hours per week
- provides an educational program for pupils in 6th grade and assists in other school programs as assigned
- creates a flexible program and a class environment favorable to learning and personal growth
-establishes effective rapport with students to motivate students to develop skills, attitudes, and knowledge needed to provide a good foundation for further participation in the total school program, in accordance with each student’s ability, and to meet the California State Standards
-establishes good relationships with parents and other staff members
-supervises instructional aides, student teachers, and parent volunteers when applicable

Requirements / Qualifications

Must have the following:

1. California Multiple Subject credential CLAD/BCLAD
2. CPR/First Aid Certification
