Wheeling University is looking for a full-time, onsite Accountant who is responsible for managing and maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and company policies. This role supports the organization’s financial health by assisting with budgeting, audits, reconciliations, and general ledger activities.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain financial records, reports, and statements.
• Perform general ledger entries, reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closings.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and relevant laws and regulations.
• Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation.
• Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance financial accuracy and efficiency.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial data and company information.
