Job Summary

The Accounting Specialist I provides basic support to the accounting team, assisting with simple financial tasks and data entry.

Essential Job Functions

• Support the team in invoice creation and distribution to customers
• Research customer discrepancies and respond to customer inquiries
• Assist with basic data entry for accounts receivable
• Perform office tasks such as scanning and copying
• Protect organization’s value by keeping information confidential
• Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience
• 2+ years of general office or basic accounting experience
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
• Attention to detail
• Problem solving
• Ability to follow instructions and procedures

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate's degree in business administration, Accounting, or related field
• Basic understanding of accounting terms and concepts

Work Environment

• Professional office setting
• Primarily sedentary role with some light filing duties
• Use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers
• May be part-time or full-time, depending on organizational needs
• No travel typically required
