Accounts Payable Clerk (m/f/d)

We are now looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk (m/f/d) for supporting our finance team in Emsdetten.

About the position:

The Accountant processes business transactions in accordance with the principles of proper bookkeeping, commercial law regulations and the regulations in the sense of IFRS.

The accountant has to follow the reporting principles of the „Finance Manual“ of the Dometic Group.

The accountant is responsible for the smooth organization of the bookkeeping, assign receipts to individual cost types and cost centers, checks pre-assigned receipts for correctness in terms of value and correct account assignment and creates monthly, quarterly or annual financial statements for the different accounting periods.

Your Main Responsibilties:

• Posting, reviewing, and booking of incoming invoices and customs declarations
• Creating recurring entries
• Maintaining and reconciling accounts payable subledgers, including intercompany reconciliation for monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Creating accounts payable payment runs
• Processing supplier dunning letters and balance confirmations
• Performing and booking accounts payable currency valuations
• Maintaining accounts payable master data and processing change journals
• Creating accounts payable reports (open item lists, trial balances)
• Assisting with the creation of accruals for outstanding invoices
• Creating and booking intercompany debit memos

A suitable background would be the in terms of following qualifications and experiences:

• Completed a commercial training with an additional qualification as a financial accountant in connection with relevant professional practice or a comparable qualification.
• In-depth knowledge of the accounting of a medium-sized company, trading or manufacturing company is required. Several years of professional experience in an international group is desirable.
• Knowledge to use of Accounting software
• Microsoft-Office-knowledge (Excel, Word, Outlook etc.)
• Knowledge of the legal framework of accounting (f.e. local GAAP, local VAT, IFRS)
• Language skills: German, English
