Work Schedule: Part-time, evening only 5:30 - 9:00

Calendar Length: School Year

FLSA Classification: Non-exempt, hourly employee

Hourly Rate: $33.00

Job Description:

The Adult Education Teacher reports directly to the Program Director. The employee will support classroom and program operations.

Essential Duties:

• Plan, prepare, and execute engaging lessons aligned with student needs and standards (either high school equivalency or ELL depending on class).
• Manage classroom culture and foster a respectful, inclusive learning environment.
• Perform accurate and timely daily recordkeeping and attendance. (INTERs)
• Manage student information, both digital and hard copy.
• Communicate and collaborate with fellow teachers, aides, office staff, and district/site personnel.
• Attend all required and recommended professional development sessions and meetings.
• Provide one-on-one or small group academic support to students as needed.
