Description

Help build the next generation of an international e-commerce platform. Work with modern technologies, develop new features and contribute to the modernisation of a large-scale software environment.

Are you a C# Developer who enjoys building complex software, working with modern architectures and developing applications used by customers worldwide? Would you like to develop new features, build integrations and help migrate legacy systems to the cloud?
For an international family owned business in Roosendaal, the Netherlands, we are looking for a Medior C# Developer to join the development team. The company manages an impressive portfolio of approximately 4 million products and serves customers around the world. No less than 80% of its customers are based outside the Netherlands. The technology behind its international webshop is largely developed and maintained in house. The new webshop has recently gone live, marking the beginning of an exciting next phase: developing new features, integrating systems and modernising existing software.
Important: You must live within a maximum 45 minute door to door commute of the office. You will work on site in Roosendaal three days per week.

What will you do?
You will join a development organisation consisting of nine developers across two teams, supported by an additional development team outside the Netherlands.
You will work on the continued development of the webshop and its underlying systems, focusing on new features, technical integrations and the modernisation of existing applications.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and maintaining software using C# and .NET.
  • Building new features for the international ecommerce platform.
  • Developing modern web applications using Blazor.
  • Building and optimising APIs and integrations between different systems.
  • Working within a microservices architecture.
  • Developing and optimising SQL databases and queries.
  • Contributing to the further development of the Microsoft Azure cloud environment.
  • Using Azure DevOps for source control, collaboration and CI/CD processes.
  • Working with Kubernetes to deploy and manage applications.
  • Contributing to the modernisation of existing software and the migration of legacy applications to the cloud.
  • Collaborating with developers and technical colleagues in the Netherlands and Moldova.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve performance, maintainability, code quality and overall system architecture.

You will have the opportunity to contribute ideas, take ownership of technical solutions and help shape the future development of the platform. Your work will directly support the company's international operations.

What are we looking for?
You are a medior software developer who can independently develop features, analyse technical challenges and collaborate effectively with other developers.

Ideally, you have:

  • Min 4 years of professional experience in software development using C#.
  • Experience with .NET Core and/or modern versions of .NET, including .NET 10.
  • Knowledge of or experience with Blazor.
  • Experience with SQL and relational databases.
  • An understanding of APIs, integrations and software architecture.
  • An interest in or experience with microservices and modern development practices.
  • Experience with or knowledge of Microsoft Azure and Azure DevOps.
  • An interest in containerisation and Kubernetes.
  • A structured approach to development, with a focus on clean, maintainable code.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate within an international team.

You do not need to be an expert in every technology listed. A solid foundation in C# and .NET is essential, while familiarity with the other technologies will help you get up to speed quickly.
Language: You must be comfortable communicating in English. Dutch is not a requirement.
Work authorisation: You must already live in the Netherlands and be legally authorised to work here without visa sponsorship. Sponsorship is not available for this position.

What do we offer?

  • €4,500–€5,200 gross per month, depending on your knowledge and experience.
  • For an exceptionally strong candidate, a maximum salary of €5,400 gross per month may be considered.
  • 28 days of annual leave.
  • 8.5% holiday allowance.
  • The opportunity to work from another location for one week per year.
  • A personal learning and development budget of up to one month's gross salary.
  • The opportunity to work in an international company where software development takes place largely in house.
  • A modern software platform with plenty of opportunities for further development.
  • Collaboration with experienced developers and an international development team.
  • Room to expand your technical knowledge and develop your skills.
