This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Ambassador Program Impact Manager based in the United States.

This is an exciting opportunity to turn powerful personal stories into meaningful advocacy, community engagement, and lasting social change. In this role, you will build relationships with storytellers, community leaders, advocacy organizations, and strategic partners to amplify voices impacted by the criminal legal system. You will connect films and storytelling initiatives with campaigns, events, and partnerships that inspire audiences to take action. Working across internal teams and external networks, you will develop opportunities that advance narrative change, criminal justice reform, and community empowerment. As a key contributor to the Ambassador Program, you will help shape engagement strategies, coordinate impactful initiatives, and strengthen collaboration across diverse stakeholders. This fully remote position is ideal for a strategic, relationship-driven professional passionate about equity, social impact, and elevating the leadership of directly impacted communities.

Accountabilities

  • Ambassador Engagement and Relationship Management: Build and maintain respectful, meaningful relationships with program Ambassadors, understanding their interests, lived experiences, expertise, goals, and availability. Connect them with relevant speaking engagements, screenings, workshops, advocacy campaigns, media opportunities, and community events.
  • Impact Campaigns and Advocacy: Support the development and execution of campaigns that connect films and storytelling with advocacy, policy initiatives, grassroots organizing, and narrative-change strategies. Research emerging opportunities, relevant coalitions, conferences, legislative developments, and community initiatives aligned with organizational priorities.
  • Partnership Development and Opportunity Pitching: Identify and pitch opportunities to external organizations, advocacy partners, screening hosts, community groups, festivals, and other stakeholders. Build partnerships that extend the reach of storytelling initiatives and create meaningful pathways for audience engagement and action.
  • Event and Program Coordination: Coordinate Ambassador participation in screenings, panels, trainings, workshops, conferences, and public programs. Manage speaker logistics, event briefings, schedules, communications, and preparation materials to ensure successful and well-supported engagements.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to integrate Ambassadors into campaigns, partnerships, communications, and organizational programming. Coordinate with relevant colleagues to address challenges, share information, and ensure activities align with broader strategic goals.
  • Program Operations and Project Management: Maintain project plans, timelines, calendars, trackers, and Asana workspaces to manage Ambassador engagement, partner relationships, campaign deliverables, payment requests, and follow-up activities. Document decisions, commitments, and resources in shared systems and proactively address risks or delays.
  • Trauma-Informed Engagement and Ambassador Support: Apply thoughtful, trauma-informed practices when coordinating opportunities involving personal stories and lived experiences. Help Ambassadors prepare for external engagements, gather feedback, connect with appropriate resources, and participate in learning opportunities that support their goals.
  • Evaluation and Continuous Improvement: Develop and maintain metrics to track Ambassador engagement, partnership development, campaign activities, and program outcomes. Gather feedback, document lessons learned, contribute to reporting, and recommend improvements to engagement strategies and program delivery.

Requirements

  • Relevant Professional Experience: At least 3–5 years of progressively responsible experience in criminal justice reform, advocacy, partnerships, campaign management, nonprofit operations, community engagement, social impact, organizing, film impact, or a related field. No specific degree is required; relevant education or professional training is welcome but does not replace demonstrated practical experience.
  • Campaign and Advocacy Expertise: Proven experience managing or supporting advocacy, social-impact, organizing, issue-based, or narrative-change campaigns. The ability to understand a story, film, initiative, or campaign and communicate its relevance to different audiences and potential partners is essential.
  • Strategic Relationship Building: Strong ability to connect people, organizations, issues, campaigns, and opportunities. Experience building partnerships and working collaboratively with community leaders, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams is important.
  • Project and Program Management: Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities, relationships, deadlines, and workstreams simultaneously. Demonstrated initiative, follow-through, sound judgment, and the ability to move projects forward independently are required.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to represent an organization professionally, facilitate productive conversations, and communicate effectively with diverse audiences.
  • Commitment to Equity and Community Leadership: A demonstrated commitment to equity, accountability, co-creation, and centering the leadership of people directly impacted by the criminal legal system. Candidates should be able to support lived-experience leadership while contributing strong organizational and campaign expertise.
  • Collaboration and Adaptability: Ability to navigate shared ownership, competing priorities, organizational dependencies, and evolving needs while maintaining productive relationships across internal teams and external partners.
  • Preferred Experience: Existing relationships within criminal justice reform, advocacy, organizing, policy, or social-impact networks; experience with documentary film impact campaigns, film distribution, or social-impact entertainment; and familiarity with legislative advocacy, grassroots organizing, coalition building, or narrative-change strategies.
  • Additional Preferred Skills: Experience coordinating screenings, public programs, advocacy events, trainings, panels, or community discussions; working with speakers, storytellers, artists, fellows, or directly impacted leaders; using CRM and project-management platforms; and operating across national, state, or local advocacy environments.

Benefits
