Assistant Lead Custodian

Primary Purpose:
The Assistant Lead Custodian will be required to assist the Leads in their assigned High Schools.
Will be able to train new custodians and support in training under-performing custodians. As an Assistant Lead, they should be flexible and cover other Leads in the different schools when needed.

Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
High school diploma or GED
Valid Texas Driver's License

Special Knowledge/Skills:
Demonstrate leadership ability in working in a custodial department.
Must be self-motivated.
Must be able to rotate school/campus when needed.
Ability to follow instructions.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to work well with diverse employee groups.
Ability to demonstrate organization skills.
Ability to read and understand/teach instructions for cleaning and safety procedures.

Strong knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions associated with the work.

Knowledge of minor repair techniques on custodial equipment.
Ability to teach/operate cleaning equipment.
Ability to properly handle cleaning supplies and maintain custodial inventory

Experience:
Five years' experience in a related field.

Pay Grade: AUX PG 3 / 240 days
