Description

Samba connects the advertising industry. Today, a trillion dollars of media flows through platforms that don’t talk to each other, and each one measures its own results. We built the independent alternative: consented first-party data and AI that give the world’s biggest advertisers, publishers, and platforms one clear view across all of it.
The next era of advertising will run on AI agents, and those agents will need data they can trust. We’re building that foundation, and the agents that act on it. Join us and help build what the industry runs on.

About the Role

You own partner onboarding, taxonomy strategy, and pricing operations for Samba's data syndication platform, Gravity, and act as the technical liaison between account and partner teams and Engineering. The role sits at the intersection of Programmatic and Technical Account Management, Product, and Partnerships, coordinating cross-functional work as partners onboard, model, and distribute their datasets. It combines hands-on platform and ticket work with partner-facing strategy.

What You'll Do

  • Be the Platform Expert: Serve as the go-to expert on platform capabilities and limitations for internal teams and external partners and advertisers.
  • Troubleshoot Early: Troubleshoot segment issues before escalation, understanding platform nuances and expected service level agreements (SLAs) for modeling and distribution.
  • Lead Onboarding: Lead onboarding, auditing, and taxonomy strategy for data partners and agencies.
  • Run Business Reviews: Create and present business reviews for data partners, and own custom partner reporting as required.
  • Keep Data Accurate: Maintain the accuracy of taxonomy, pricing, and destinations.
  • Escalate Tickets: File and escalate platform tickets between account teams and Engineering and Product, covering access requests, cross-region data bridging, segment permissions, importer and ID mapping, and export capability.
  • Support Data Imports: Support identity match testing and onboarding architecture for new data imports through Amazon S3 and secure file transfer protocol (SFTP).

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Data, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 1+ years in advertising technology, programmatic operations, partner or account management, or a related platform-support role.
  • Working knowledge of demand-side platforms (DSPs) such as The Trade Desk and DV360, and how audience segments price and activate within them, plus familiarity with partner or supply-side platform (SSP) integrations.
  • Comfort troubleshooting technical issues and coordinating across account, product, and engineering teams, with familiarity in segment and taxonomy management and eagerness to learn programmatic ecosystems, audience targeting, and identity resolution.
  • Strong Excel proficiency (SUMIFS, INDEX/MATCH, pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and excellent written and verbal communication for internal and client-facing contexts.
  • Preferred: direct experience with identity or data partners such as Acxiom, Experian, or ThinkNow, and familiarity with Amazon S3 and SFTP data onboarding and audience file formatting.
  • Preferred: deep knowledge of programmatic advertising, with working knowledge of data management platforms (DMPs), DSPs, SSPs, and identity resolution, plus SQL, and CRM and project management tools such as Salesforce, Jira, and Asana.
