We are looking for our next talented Backend Engineer to join our team.

In this role, the ideal candidate should have:

Responsibilities

• Design edge, fog, cloud based software solutions
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices and coding standards
• Optimize software stacks for reliability, scalability, and performance
• Collaborate with frontend developers, project managers, and other stakeholders to define requirements and deliver solutions that meet user needs
• Participate in EU-based project meetings, designing and delivering presentations
• Prepare EU-based project deliverables, technical deliverables and progress reports
• Adapt to the Agile way of working

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or Engineering
• Master’s degree is a plus

2+ years in similar position

Professional

• Experience 2+ years with Python 3.11+.
• Experience 2+ years with web frameworks (FastAPI, Django)
• Experience in IoT systems, including, MQTT protocol, near real-time/event-driven data pipelines, pub/sub architectures
• Experience with version control tools (Github)
• Experience with Containers and Orchestrators (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with querying and managing databases (PostgreSQL)
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications
• Excellent use of English (oral, written, understanding)

Nice to have

Prior involvement in EU-funded research or innovation projects

Other

• Willing and able to travel domestically and internationally when needed
• Proven ability to manage tasks and issues, meet deadlines, follow through on commitments, and take corrective action in a proactive manner where appropriate
