About the role

We're looking for Senior Backend Engineers to join a Communications Capture workstream responsible for processing hundreds of millions of communication events every month across platforms such as Email, Zoom, Slack, Teams, Facebook, and YouTube.

You'll work on the backend systems that capture, process, and support these high-volume communication streams. The role is highly focused on Go, third-party API integrations, and reliable workflow execution, with ownership of connectors from design through production release.

You'll have significant autonomy over your workstream, collaborating with the team to build new integrations, validate their reliability, document solutions, and continuously improve the capture pipeline. The team also uses AI coding agents such as Claude Code and Cursor as part of its daily engineering workflow.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and support communication capture pipelines end-to-end.
• Design and develop new communication connectors using Go.
• Integrate with and consume third-party APIs across multiple communication platforms.
• Use DBOS for durable workflow execution and reliable processing.
• Test and validate connectors before production release.
• Investigate and resolve issues across capture pipelines and integrations.
• Own a workstream from initial design through implementation, testing, documentation, and release.
• Write clear and maintainable technical documentation for each connector.
• Contribute to the reliability, scalability, and maintainability of high-volume communication processing systems.
• Use AI coding agents such as Claude Code, Cursor, or similar tools as part of the daily development workflow.

Requirements

• Strong professional experience in backend development with Go.
• Hands-on experience building integrations with third-party APIs.
• Experience designing, developing, and supporting production backend services.
• Ability to own a technical workstream end-to-end, from design through deployment and support.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working with high-volume data or event-processing systems is valuable.
• Experience using AI coding agents such as Claude Code, Cursor, or similar tools in daily development.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and collaborate effectively with distributed engineering teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with DBOS or other durable workflow execution frameworks.
• Experience with AWS.
• Experience building connectors for communication, messaging, collaboration, or SaaS platforms.
• Experience working with event-driven or high-throughput backend systems.
• Experience with multiple third-party API integrations and authentication patterns.
