NOW HIRING BUS DRIVERS!

Ventura Unified School District is seeking qualified Bus Drivers to immediately fill current vacancies. Positions are a minimum of 4 hours per day, with opportunities to work up to 8 hours per day based on District needs and available assignments.

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
Applicants must possess the following required licenses and certifications:

A valid California Class B commercial driver's license with passenger and school bus endorsements; and

A valid California Special Driver Certificate without the following restrictions: hydraulic brakes only, conventional or Type 2 bus only.*

A valid First Aid Certification issued by an authorized agency; and

A valid DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate.

*Note: The air brake/transit requirement may be waived for entry into the classification. Employees must have the hydraulic brake and/or conventional restriction(s) removed prior to completion of the six-month probationary period.

Please note: Ventura Unified School District is not currently offering a Bus Driver training program. Applicants must possess the required licenses and certifications listed above to be considered for the position.
