# Business Analyst – Data Warehouse – BFSI ## Job Summary The Business Analyst will play a critical role in gathering requirements and translating business needs into actionable data strategies. This engagement, offered on a contract basis for 6 months with potential extension based on performance, is integral to enhancing data governance and quality within the Business, Finance, and Compliance sectors. ## Responsibilities - Lead requirements gathering across various business functions including finance, operations, and compliance. - Translate business needs into data requirements, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and metrics. - Define source-to-target mappings with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and address data quality issues. - Collaborate on data models, reporting layers, and semantic definitions. - Lead testing and validation processes, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT) coordination. - Act as the functional lead for project coordination, governance, and documentation. ## Qualifications - 8–12 years of relevant experience in business analysis, particularly within Data Warehousing. - Strong data analysis and SQL skills. - Solid understanding of dimensional modeling and Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes. - Proven ability in communication, documentation, and stakeholder management. - Demonstrated leadership in managing priorities, testing, and governance. - Exposure to Business Intelligence (BI) tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and Oracle Analytics is preferred. - Certifications related to Business Analysis or Data Warehousing are a plus. ## Preferred Skills - Experience in the Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) domain. - Familiarity with project management practices and tools. ##
