Business Analyst

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business & Data Analyst with deep expertise in healthcare analytics, data warehousing, cloud data platforms, and business analysis. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience gathering and documenting business requirements, performing complex data analysis, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving enterprise-scale data and reporting initiatives. Experience in the HEDIS/Healthcare domain, cloud migrations, and modern analytics platforms is highly preferred.

The role requires a strong blend of business acumen, technical data analysis skills, stakeholder management, and leadership capabilities to support strategic business transformation and data-driven decision-making initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business stakeholders, product owners, architects, and technical teams to gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements.
• Facilitate workshops, interviews, discovery sessions, and requirement elicitation activities.
• Develop business requirements documents (BRDs), functional specifications, user stories, use cases, process flows, and wireframes.
• Perform detailed data analysis using SQL across large and complex datasets.
• Create source-to-target mappings, data dictionaries, business rules, and technical specifications.
• Collaborate with data engineering and architecture teams to define requirements for cloud-based analytics and reporting solutions.
• Support enterprise data modernization and cloud migration programs.
• Act as a liaison between business and technology teams to ensure alignment between business goals and technical solutions.
• Coordinate and support System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and production validation activities.
• Analyze business processes and recommend data-driven improvements.
• Manage requirement traceability throughout the project lifecycle.
• Identify project risks, perform impact assessments, and drive resolution through stakeholder collaboration.
• Mentor and guide junior business analysts and data analysts.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related discipline.
• 15+ years of experience in Business Analysis, Data Analysis, or related roles.
• Strong experience in healthcare, payer, population health, quality reporting, or HEDIS domains.
• Advanced SQL expertise with experience working on large-scale data warehouse environments.
• Proven experience working with cloud data platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Hands-on experience with reporting and visualization tools such as Power BI and Tableau.
• Experience creating source-to-target mappings, data models, and business process documentation.
• Strong knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and SAFe delivery methodologies.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Demonstrated experience leading large-scale, cross-functional initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting healthcare quality measures, HEDIS reporting, or regulatory reporting initiatives.
• Experience with Hadoop/Hive, BigQuery, SQL Server, DB2, or enterprise data platforms.
• SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (PO/PM) certification.
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification.
• AHIP Healthcare Management certification.
• Experience with AI-assisted business analysis and documentation tools.
