Job description
This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with the Chief Executive Officer of New Futures Network (NFN), providing high-quality business and administrative support to help ensure the effective running of the national team. The postholder will play a key role in supporting the CEO to manage competing priorities, coordinate activity and maintain strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders across HMPPS and beyond.
The role is part of the New Futures Network national team which sits within the Reducing Reoffending Directorate in HMPPS. NFN is the specialist part of HMPPS which attracts and supports employers to work with prisons in England and Wales. We are also responsible for developing an employment system across HMPPS that improves employment outcomes for prison leavers. For more information about the work of NFN and their partners visit or find NFN on Twitter and LinkedIn.
We know that being in stable employment contributes to positive outcomes for people with convictions, their families and communities. Employment is a key part of the Government strategy to reduce reoffending. That is why NFN partnerships support men and women in prison to find meaningful work opportunities and prison leavers to find employment on release.
The New Futures Network team ethos is to strive for continual improvement, and the postholder will be expected to contribute to this by providing proactive, efficient and professional support to the CEO, helping to ensure the smooth running of the team and the effective delivery of its priorities.
