Card Issuing Product Owner

About the Client

Our client is a digital banking platform serving businesses and individual users internationally. It offers multi-currency accounts, payment services and card products through web and mobile applications.

Role Overview

Take ownership of a card issuing product line with a direct impact on customers and daily operations. You will keep existing programmes running reliably while developing the roadmap, delivering product changes and working with international card schemes and processors.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the card issuing product line end to end, maintaining reliable operations and driving further development.
• Define and manage the roadmap and backlog, prioritising business value, scheme requirements and operational impact.
• Work with Mastercard, Visa and card processors on integrations, certifications, scheme projects and change requests.
• Turn business, operational and scheme needs into clear product and technical specifications for IT teams.
• Coordinate IT teams from planning and requirements through testing, release and post-release checks.
• Oversee issuance, activation, authorisation, clearing, settlement and disputes, resolving issues that affect card products.
• Work with compliance and operations to meet Visa and Mastercard scheme rules and mandatory releases.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager responsible for card issuing products.
• Hands-on experience with Mastercard and/or Visa and card processors on integrations, scheme projects or change requests.
• Working knowledge of the card lifecycle, authorisation, clearing, settlement and chargebacks.
• Practical understanding of APIs, processor integrations and transaction data flows, sufficient to work directly with engineering teams.
• Experience coordinating IT development teams and managing changes through backlogs, requirements and releases.
• Knowledge of Card Scheme Compliance, including Visa and Mastercard rules and scheme releases, is a plus.
• Languages: English , Russian .
• Experience in fintech
