About the Client
Our client is an international digital banking platform serving businesses and individual users. It offers payment services, business accounts and card products.
Role Overview
Take ownership of the financial decisions that shape a developing card issuing business. As a Chief Financial Officer, you will connect product economics, financial planning, and risk management while building a skilled finance team.
Key Responsibilities
Own financial strategy, planning and budgeting for the card issuing business.
Manage P&L, unit economics and pricing, including interchange income, scheme fees and processing costs.
Lead financial reporting, forecasting, cash and liquidity management, including safeguarding customer funds under the UK EMI regime.
Own regulatory financial reporting and capital requirements to the FCA in close cooperation with Compliance.
Manage the financial side of relationships with card schemes, issuing processors, and banking and liquidity partners, including fee negotiation, settlement and reconciliation.
Lead the finance team, internal controls and external audit, and report financial performance to the executive team and shareholders.
Requirements
Proven experience as CFO, Head of Finance, or in an equivalent finance leadership role in an EMI, payment institution, neobank, or card issuing business.
Proven experience owning P&L, unit economics, pricing and financial forecasting for payment or card products.
Hands-on experience with regulatory financial reporting, safeguarding and capital requirements for e-money or payment institutions under the FCA or a comparable regulator.
Hands-on experience with card scheme economics: interchange, scheme fees, settlement and reconciliation.
Proven experience building and managing a finance team, an internal control framework and audit processes.
Languages: English , Russian .
Experience in fintech.
