# DevOps Engineer ## Company Overview *(Not specified)* ## Job Summary The DevOps Engineer is a key role focused on implementing and managing automation, infrastructure, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes. This position aims to enhance operational efficiency, improve system reliability, and foster strong communication between development, testing, and operations teams. ## Responsibilities - Act as a **subject matter expert** on DevOps practices, CI/CD, and **Configuration Management** within the engineering team. - Implement and maintain **infrastructure automation** using **Chef Automate**, including the development of cookbooks, compliance profiles, and automation pipelines. - Monitor infrastructure and application health utilizing **Chef Automate dashboards** to ensure optimal performance. - Execute software development and reporting by designing test plans, developing test cases, and validating automated processes. - Collaborate closely with Agile delivery teams to understand the product vision, facilitating the creation of robust test automation for functional, regression, and performance testing. - Facilitate clear communication with customers and internal stakeholders to resolve issues quickly and maintain high-quality documentation. ## Qualifications - Proven experience with **Chef Automate** and other infrastructure automation tools like **Terraform**, **Ansible**, and **Puppet**. - Strong knowledge of **CI/CD pipelines** and **configuration management** practices. - Familiarity with cloud platforms such as **AWS**, **Azure**, and **Google Cloud Platform (GCP)**. - Educational qualifications: **Bachelor’s degree** in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues. - Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to streamline interactions with cross-functional teams. ## Preferred Skills - Experience with backend/database programming. - Knowledge of automated testing tools and processes for efficiency and accuracy. - Excellent organizational skills and ability to track problems and resolve them proactively. ## Experience - A minimum of **3-5 years** of relevant experience in DevOps, particularly in automation and CI/CD processes. ## Environment *(Not specified)* ## Salary *(Not specified)* ## Growth Opportunities *(Not specified)* ## Benefits *(Not specified)*
