Position Overview

Augment Professional Services (APS) is seeking experienced Controls Systems Engineers to support complex controls, automation, and facility systems within a large-scale advanced manufacturing environment.

The Controls Systems Engineer will support the design, integration, troubleshooting, commissioning, and optimization of industrial control systems used throughout manufacturing, cleanroom, utility, and facility infrastructure. The ideal professional will have hands-on experience with PLC-based control systems and the ability to interface with electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, commissioning, and construction teams.

Candidates with experience supporting semiconductor facilities, data centers, cleanrooms, advanced manufacturing facilities, or other technically complex industrial environments are strongly preferred.

Key responsibilities may include:

• Support design, implementation, integration, and commissioning of industrial control systems.
• Review controls drawings, specifications, sequences of operation, and technical documentation.
• Support PLC-based automation and controls systems.
• Troubleshoot field instrumentation, control panels, communication networks, and related equipment.
• Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, HVAC, instrumentation, and construction teams.
• Support control system startup, testing, validation, and turnover activities.
• Review installation quality and verify systems are constructed in accordance with project requirements.
• Diagnose controls-related failures and provide technical solutions in an active project environment.
• Support cleanroom, process utility, HVAC, and facility automation systems as required.
• Work effectively with contractors, engineering teams, commissioning teams, and client stakeholders.
