Lakeland Joint School District is seeking applications for a Crossing Guard at Lakeland Middle School for the 2026–2027 school year.

• Schedule:
  • 2 hours per day
  • 7:00–8:00 a.m.
  • 1:45–2:45 p.m.
  • Monday–Friday during the school year
• Pay Range:
  • $15.10–$17.12 per hour, DOE

Job Requirement:

• Maintain continuous visual and/or auditory awareness of pedestrian and vehicular traffic.
• Identify approaching vehicles and changing traffic conditions.
• Promptly communicate directions, warnings, and instructions to students and drivers.
• Stop or redirect pedestrian traffic when necessary to prevent unsafe crossing.
• Respond immediately to unexpected traffic, pedestrian, or emergency situations.
• Remain attentive and positioned at the assigned crossing for the duration of the shift.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required
