Custodial Equipment Technician
Description
Primary Purpose:
Ensure that all custodial equipment is in proper working order and in a condition of operating excellence, appearance and safety. Support other departments with equipment diagnosis and minor repairs when needed.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
High school diploma or GED.
Preferred college/technical training in related field.
Valid Texas Driver's License.
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Ability to read and understand English.
Knowledge of major and minor repair techniques in custodial equipment.
Experience in washer and dryer repair.
Able to diagnose and repair equipment in the shop and field when necessary.
Good communications skills.
Effective ability to give instructions.
Must be well organized and self-motivated.
Strong knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions associated with the work.
Ability to teach/operate cleaning equipment and lift/heavy equipment.
Computer proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel.
Experience:
Three years' experience in a related field.
Pay Grade: Aux PG6 / 261 days
