Developer Product Marketing Manager, Agentic
Description
About Airwallex
Airwallex is the AI-native financial operating system for a real-time, intelligent economy. More than 675,000 businesses, including McLaren Racing, Qantas, SHEIN, and TikTok, use us, directly or through our platform partners, to run their financial operations or build and monetize financial products of their own.
We started in Melbourne in 2015 to build the infrastructure global commerce runs on. We're the regulated backbone behind global payments: not by accident, but by design. A decade plus, 85+ licenses, and a financial infrastructure spanning North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific.
We're co-headquartered in San Francisco and Singapore, with more than 2,700 people across 27 offices. We hire builders with founder-level energy, people who move fast with good judgment, dig in with real curiosity, and make calls from first principles rather than waiting to be told what to do. Read our operating principles to see it in full.
How you'll make impact
You'll lead product marketing for the products developers use to build on Airwallex: APIs, the sandbox, documentation, and AgentOS, including its MCP servers, CLI, and skills. You'll shape positioning and launch plans for developers, technical founders, builders using AI coding tools, and technology partners integrating with Airwallex.
This is a senior individual contributor role combining positioning, launches, technical product use, and developer research. You'll test the products yourself, track how developers move from learning about Airwallex to making a first API call and reaching production, and use those insights to improve messaging, documentation, and product adoption.
You'll work with Product, DevX, Engineering, Data Science, Sales, Legal, Brand, Marketing, Communications, and technical writers. You'll own the message and launch plans, while partnering with technical writers and product teams who own integrations, documentation, and case studies.
You'll help define positioning for products that are new and still evolving, revise messaging as capabilities ship, and spend meaningful time with developers and technical founders to understand what they're building, where they get stuck, and what they need next.
You'll work from our San Francisco office three days a week.
What we're looking for
Essentials
7+ years of experience in product marketing, developer marketing, or a similar role, including positioning and launching APIs, developer tools, agentic systems, or other technical products.
Hands-on technical ability: you can read API documentation, make API calls, and build a small working prototype, including with AI coding tools.
Strong writing skills, with examples of positioning documents, launch posts, or landing pages written for developers.
Experience owning launches from the brief through to results, including setting goals using usage data such as sign-ups, activation, and conversion.
Experience working with Product, Engineering, Sales, Legal, and Marketing.
Comfort setting direction while products are changing quickly and processes are still being established, and getting to outcomes in a lean environment.
Preferred
Experience marketing payments, fintech infrastructure, or other regulated financial products, and working with Legal or Compliance on product claims.
Experience with AI agents, MCP, agent frameworks, or AI coding tools, either in a product you marketed or through your own work.
A developer launch where you can name the usage metric that moved and by how much.
Experience working with technical writers on documentation landing pages, getting-started paths, or search optimisation.
Experience with startups and technical founders, including accelerator programmes, developer communities, or hackathons.
You'll thrive here if
You're excited by a category that hasn't been won yet, and want to be early enough to shape it.
You're comfortable with ambiguity. Give you a problem, not a prescription, and you'll run with it.
You're comfortable making decisions with incomplete information and moving quickly anyway.
You stay close to your industry, follow trends, and bring outside perspective into your work.
You come to the table with a point of view, not just a problem.
