Digital Marketing Analytics Project Lead (32581)
Description
Join UCC Environmental, a leader in sustainable technology solutions:
Looking for a career where your work has real impact? At UCC Environmental, you'll join a company built on solving complex industrial challenges while advancing sustainable solutions for air, water, and solids handling around the world.
We're a privately held, family-owned business with more than a century of experience supporting mission-critical industries. We serve utility power providers and heavy industrial customers globally with solutions in environmental compliance, material handling, and high-performance aftermarket technologies.
Headquartered in Waukegan, Illinois, UCC owns and operates sales, manufacturing, assembly, and warehousing facilities across the United States, Canada, Germany, India, and China, with continued growth across North America, EMEA, and Asia-Pacific.
We're looking for a hands-on, technically strong marketer to help run the engine behind UCC's marketing: our websites, paid advertising, search visibility, analytics, marketing systems, and our biggest marketing projects.
This is a builder role. You'll work directly in the back end of our websites, run our Google and LinkedIn ad programs, make our tracking trustworthy, and turn data into decisions. You'll improve how we capture and manage leads and connect marketing results to revenue, including helping evaluate marketing automation tools as we grow. You'll also be the project lead for major marketing initiatives such as our Biennial Sales & Technology Conference, website launches, and integrations of acquired brands.
The successful candidate will accomplish the following in their first year at UCC.
- Deliver consistent, trustworthy tracking and reporting across all UCC digital properties.
- Improve lead-to-opportunity conversions from paid and organic channels.
- Grow organic and AI-search visibility for our priority products and markets.
- Put a clear lead-handoff process in place between Marketing and Sales.
- Build repeatable processes for website changes, campaign launches, and major projects.
How your time will be spent:
- Focus Area % of Time
- Websites, SEO and AI-search visibility 25%
- Paid advertising and campaigns 20%
- Analytics, tracking and reporting 25%
- Marketing systems, tools and processes 10%
- Marketing and misc. projects 20%
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Websites & Technical Optimization
- Own UCC's websites and acquired-brand sites, working directly in WordPress, Kadence and Elementor to build pages, landing pages, forms, and navigation.
- Diagnose and fix issues with functionality, speed, tracking, indexing, and forms; escalate complex work to developers and hosting partners.
- Lead website redesigns, migrations, and integrations of acquired-company sites, including requirements, testing, and post-launch fixes.
- Maintain website documentation, standards, and the UCC intranet.
Paid Advertising & Campaigns
- Plan, build, and optimize campaigns in Google Ads and LinkedIn Campaign Manager, including targeting, bidding, and creative testing.
- Build and test landing pages and conversion paths that turn traffic into qualified leads.
- Partner with Sales on campaigns that support pipeline, product launches, and trade shows.
SEO & AI-Search Visibility
- Work with our retained SEO partner on technical and on-page SEO (crawling, indexing, redirects, schema markup, sitemaps, page speed, and site structure), implementing their recommendations on our websites and holding them accountable for results.
- Run keyword and competitive research with Google Search Console and Semrush to find growth opportunities.
- Lead answer engine and generative engine optimization (AEO/GEO) so UCC shows up in AI tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, and Google AI Overviews.
- Work with content owners to structure web content for search, accessibility, and conversion.
Analytics, Tracking & Reporting
- Own GA4, Google Tag Manager, and Search Console setup, including events, conversions, and consent settings for EU sites.
- Create and apply UTM tracking to all campaign links (ads, email, social, QR codes, trade show and partner links), and maintain a shared UTM naming guide so every campaign is measured the same way.
- Investigate drops or spikes in traffic, leads, or ad performance, find the root cause, and fix it.
- Build dashboards in Looker Studio or Power BI and present clear, plain-language findings and recommendations to leadership.
Marketing Operations & Systems
- Own the marketing tool stack (website, analytics, ad platforms, email, and SEO tools), including access, settings, and documentation.
- Define how leads are captured, routed, and handed off to Sales, and track what happens to them.
- Set standards for campaign naming, tracking, and reporting across UCC and acquired companies.
- Evaluate new marketing tools, including marketing automation options, and lead implementation when approved.
- Use AI tools responsibly to speed up content production, analysis, and reporting.
Marketing Project Leadership
- Lead various marketing projects end to end, including website launches and acquired-brand integrations, as well as ad hoc projects such as the sales meeting held every two years.
- Build and run project plans, timelines, and status updates; flag risks early and keep stakeholders aligned.
- Coordinate internal teams, acquired companies, agencies, and vendors, and hold them accountable for deliverables.
- For events, oversee venue and vendor coordination, registration, communications, materials, and on-site execution.
- Capture lessons learned and turn them into repeatable playbooks.
Email, Social & Content Support
- Support email campaigns, including segmentation, build, testing, and performance reporting.
- Support LinkedIn and other social channels with campaign content and performance tracking.
- Support content creation for the website and digital channels, including blogs, case studies, project spotlights, and other content that builds visibility and drives leads.
- Maintain the library of photos, video, and brand assets.
Team Collaboration & Department Support
- Work closely with the marketing team and support broader department needs and priorities as they arise.
- Act as the go-to resource for digital, analytics, and website questions, helping colleagues use data and tools effectively.
- Collaborate closely with acquisition partners, Sales, Product Management, and Global Product Development to align marketing efforts with business priorities.
- All other duties as assigned.
