government's ambitions across the schools agenda.
The directorate sits in Schools Group and deliberately brings together the central schools strategy division alongside expert policy teams on accountability,
regulation and quality and two of the Group's three analytical divisions. Together it shapes and enables delivery of the government's overall strategy for schools,
underpinned by effective accountability that enables school improvement and collaboration, and ensures high-quality evidence and evaluation inform policy
development across the piece.
It sits at the heart of department - the post holder will work broadly across Schools Group, and with every other Group given the shared interests in the school
system. It also works closely with key partners, particularly Ofsted and the EEF. The role is highly visible externally, with the opportunity to develop trusted
relationships with stakeholders to inform high-quality policy and shape reform.

Successful candidates will be required to hold or obtain SC Security Clearance.

The assignment duration also supports your career through building your depth of expertise. As part of accepting this role you will be agreeing to the expected assignment duration set out above. This will not result in a contractual change to your terms and conditions. Please note this is an expectation only, it is not something which is written into your terms and conditions or indeed which the employing organisation or you are bound by. It will depend on your personal circumstances at a particular time and business needs, for example, would not preclude any absence like family friendly leave. It is nonethelessan important expectation, which is why we ask you to confirm you agree to the assignment duration set out above
