Technatomy is seeking a Dynamics 365 SCM Solution Architect to design the Supply Chain Management receiving workbench for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) pharmacy traceability project. You define workflows and integration boundaries that keep receiving activity consistent with authoritative SAP decisions. You guide functional and development teams through design, configuration, testing, and rollout within the approved Dynamics scope.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Define Dynamics receiving, exception, and disposition workflows with pharmacy stakeholders and the enterprise solution architect.
• Assess standard Supply Chain Management capabilities and identify configuration or extension needs for approved receiving and traceability workflows. Avoid introducing new perpetual inventory, valuation, replenishment, or financial postings unless explicitly approved.
• Define transaction ownership and integration contracts so Dynamics receiving actions reflect authoritative SAP outcomes, including pending, rejected, corrected, and confirmed states.
• Guide mobile receiving and scanner designs that support efficient barcode capture, package hierarchy, and clear user actions across supported devices.
• Review SCM legal-entity, site, existing warehouse, user, and GLN mappings; align development, test, UAT, and production environments across Dynamics 365 SCM, SAP, and Azure integration services.
• Lead functional design reviews and support end-to-end testing, user acceptance, and issue resolution.
• Evaluate change requests for effects on traceability, connected applications, security, support, and delivery scope; document design decisions and update solution and operational guidance.
• Lead workflow prototypes and fit-gap decisions, documenting configuration, extension, licensing, and support implications before proposed capabilities enter the delivery baseline.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
• At least 10 years of relevant professional experience in enterprise application delivery, including ERP solution design or architecture.
• Experience designing and leading Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management implementations or substantial enhancements.
• Strong knowledge of receiving workflows, relevant warehouse processes, configuration, and business integration requirements.
• Experience designing Dynamics 365 SCM integrations with external enterprise systems through Azure-based APIs or messaging, including clear transaction ownership, error handling, and reconciliation.
• Experience guiding functional consultants and developers through fit-gap analysis, solution design, and acceptance testing.
• Ability to evaluate extension impacts, resolve complex functional issues, and communicate design decisions.
• Ability to assess cross-system failure scenarios, maintain clear ownership of business state, and guide designs that users and support teams can reconcile.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS DESIRED:
• Experience integrating Dynamics 365 with SAP or pharmaceutical traceability applications.
• Familiarity with SCM GS1 field mappings, mobile menu-item barcode policies, and the Dynamics business event catalog and endpoint configuration.
• Relevant Dynamics 365 solution architecture certification.
• Prior experience supporting Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) or other Federal agency applications or projects.
EDUCATION:
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
CLEARANCE:
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
WORK LOCATION:
• Remote
