Electrical Engineer
Description
About the Role
Join a small engineering team developing terahertz imaging systems for security and public safety applications. In this hands-on role, you will lead mixed-signal board bring-up, debug, and integration, working closely with systems, FPGA, firmware, and mechanical teams.
What You'll Do
Lead board-level bring-up, power sequencing validation, and subsystem integration across multiple board designs.
Investigate signal integrity, power, and RF performance issues, identify root causes, and drive design iterations.
Coordinate schematic updates and layout reviews with an external design firm, from fabrication through characterization and validation.
Work with FPGA, firmware, and systems engineers to validate subsystem and system-level integration.
Develop traceability and test procedures to support increased production volume.
What We're Looking For
A bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical Engineering and 3 to 7 years of experience in mixed-signal hardware bring-up, debug, and board-level integration.
Experience with complex PCB assemblies, including power sequencing, signal integrity, and mixed-signal validation.
Knowledge of ADCs, DACs, DC/DC converters, RF interfaces, high-speed digital design, and power distribution.
Experience with Altium or similar PCB CAD tools, schematic review, and lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and logic analyzers.
Ability to identify and solve problems independently, collaborate across disciplines, and work beyond a narrow specialty.
Experience in telecom, radar, or complex sensing systems is useful. FPGA bring-up, Petalinux, AMD Kria SOM, or Python experience is also relevant.
