CLASS SUMMARY: This position is responsible for performing journeyman-level electrical installation, maintenance, and repair work for City buildings and structures.
TYPICAL CLASS ESSENTIAL DUTIES: (These duties are a representative sample; position assignments may vary.)
1. Installs, maintains, and repairs electrical wiring systems, fixtures, transformers, switches, and related equipment and systems in City buildings and structures.
2. Tests electrical components and determines repair needs; performs repairs as needed.
3. Prepares estimates for time and material costs associated with daily work.
4. Maintains records of completed work.
5. Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance, including attendance at required meetings.
