You will lead, mentor, and recruit data infrastructure engineers. You will define the storage infrastructure roadmap and own the architecture and reliability of data-lifecycle systems across cloud, hybrid, and on-premises environments. You will drive scalable ingestion, indexing, storage, retrieval, engineering standards, and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Lead, grow, mentor, and recruit data infrastructure engineers
- Define and drive the storage infrastructure technical roadmap
- Own the architecture and reliability of full data-lifecycle systems
- Drive scalable data ingestion, indexing, storage, and retrieval decisions
- Establish engineering best practices, code-quality standards, and operational excellence
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent
- 6+ years of professional software engineering experience
- 2+ years in engineering management or a tech lead role
- Experience with Spark, Hudi, Iceberg, LanceDB, or dbt
- Experience leading teams that build and operate high-scale distributed data systems
- Experience managing production data-lifecycle systems
- Understanding of containerization, cloud-native architectures, and modern software development workflows
- Cross-functional communication and technical influence
