Key Requirements and Qualifications

• Certification: Valid Louisiana Teaching Certificate in Secondary English (Grades 6–12) in accordance with Louisiana Department of Education guidelines (Bulletin 746).
• Education: Bachelor's degree (minimum) in English, Secondary Education, or a related field.
• Experience: 2+ years of teaching experience is frequently preferred.
• Content Knowledge: In-depth understanding of Louisiana Student Standards for English Language Arts, including reading, writing, speaking, listening, and language instruction, as well as curriculum implementation.
• Skills: Strong written and oral communication skills; effective classroom management; ability to analyze student data and adjust instruction to support student achievement.
