Technatomy is seeking an Enterprise Integration Architect to design interfaces for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) pharmacy traceability project and its existing integration boundary, identified as DIP. You define service contracts, data exchanges, and reliable processing across systems. You work with customer platform owners and application architects to establish transaction ownership, recovery responsibilities, and operational handoffs.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Define interface contracts covering message schemas, routing, acknowledgements, timeouts, errors, and version compatibility, with explicit ownership across customer and application teams.
• Design SAP-to-Azure and Azure-to-Dynamics 365 SCM integrations using supported interfaces, appropriate EPCIS mappings, durable event and acknowledgement records, and aligned development, test, UAT, and production routes.
• Establish patterns for correlation, idempotency, retries, ordering, replay, and transaction reconciliation.
• Define authentication, authorization, network, and certificate requirements with security and platform teams.
• Review mappings, schema compatibility, interface versioning, and changes that affect connected applications.
• Guide integration testing, failure injection, capacity validation, and recovery exercises.
• Document service ownership, runbooks, monitoring needs, and knowledge transfer before integration specialists transition off the effort.
• Coordinate integration intake and technical kickoff with service owners and partners; validate connectivity, provider capabilities, throughput considerations, and recovery responsibilities before build and handoff.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
• At least 10 years of relevant professional experience in IT solution delivery, including enterprise integration design or architecture.
• Experience designing enterprise API and event-based integrations across multiple business systems.
• Strong understanding of asynchronous processing, acknowledgements, idempotency, retries, and reconciliation.
• Ability to define interface contracts, canonical data mappings, schema evolution, and operational ownership.
• Experience designing secure integrations with identity, network, and certificate dependencies.
• Ability to lead technical reviews and resolve integration issues across customer and contractor teams.
• Ability to evaluate partial failures and delayed processing across systems and design reconciliation and recovery approaches with clear business completion criteria.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS DESIRED:
• Experience integrating SAP or pharmaceutical traceability platforms.
• Prior experience supporting Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) or other Federal agency applications or projects.
• Experience architecting production integrations using Azure API Management, Service Bus, and Azure Functions, including secure connectivity, message recovery, and operational monitoring.
EDUCATION:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
CLEARANCE:
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
WORK LOCATION:
• Remote
