Part-Time Night Custodian – Education Service Center

Position: Part-Time Night Custodian
Location: Education Service Center (ESC)
Reports To: Director of Maintenance and/or Designee
Employment Type: Part-Time, Evening Hours

Job Summary

Brown County Schools is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Part-Time Night Custodian to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment at the Education Service Center. This position is responsible for performing routine cleaning and custodial duties during evening hours to ensure the facility is ready for daily operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize offices, restrooms, meeting rooms, hallways, and common areas.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors as needed.
• Empty trash and recycling containers and replace liners.
• Clean windows, glass surfaces, furniture, and fixtures as needed.
• Restock restroom supplies and maintain sanitary conditions.
• Ensure doors and windows are secured and lights are turned off at the end of the shift.
• Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, or needed repairs to the appropriate supervisor.
• Properly use and maintain custodial equipment and cleaning supplies.
• Perform additional custodial duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous custodial or cleaning experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Dependable, punctual, and attentive to detail.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, bending, lifting, and operating cleaning equipment.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and properly handle cleaning products.
• Must meet Brown County Schools employment requirements, including applicable background checks.

Work Schedule

Part-time evening hours, with the specific schedule determined by Brown County Schools.
