Estate Litigation Associate Attorney – Trust & Probate Disputes

Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year

Location

Join our team in Lake Success, NY, with a flexible hybrid arrangement of four days onsite and one day working remotely each week. Occasional travel to Brooklyn may be needed.

Job Description

• Assist senior attorneys with estate litigation, contested probate matters, trust disputes, and related civil litigation.
• Support Surrogate's Court proceedings, including petitions, motions, court filings, and case preparation.
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, correspondence, memoranda, and other litigation documents.
• Assist with commercial litigation matters arising from estate-related disputes.
• Collaborate with attorneys handling estate planning, estate administration, elder law, and guardianship matters.
• Communicate professionally with clients, attorneys, and court personnel while helping keep cases moving forward.
• Develop your litigation skills and gradually take ownership of more complex responsibilities.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active New York Bar admission required.
• 2+ years of relevant legal experience preferred; newly admitted attorneys are welcome to apply.
• Experience in estate litigation, probate, trusts, or civil litigation is a plus.
• Strong legal research, writing, organization, and communication skills.
• Interest in estate-related disputes, litigation strategy, and professional growth.
