Financial Controller

As a Financial Controller, you will be a key part of our local Finance team supporting the local manufacturing of advanced drone systems in Romania. Together with our World-Class Team, you will play an empowering role in delivering systems for one of Romania's most significant defense procurement programs, with drone assembly taking place entirely in Romania under the European SAFE initiative. The Romanian production site will not only support local defense programs but will also contribute to fulfilling customer orders across Europe and support the delivery of mission-critical systems for Ukraine, reinforcing Quantum Systems' commitment to strengthening European security and defense capabilities.

As part of this strategic investment, Quantum Systems is rapidly expanding its presence in Romania and plans to hire up to 50 employees in 2026 and up to 150 employees in 2027. The Brasov site will become a key manufacturing and operational hub within our European production network, creating exciting opportunities for professionals who want to contribute to cutting-edge defense and autonomous technology programs.

You will be working closely with stakeholders from the Production, Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing Engineering teams to ensure the efficient assembly and production of Quantum Systems' UAV platforms. Your mission will be to assemble, test, and support the production of mission-critical systems while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and operational excellence.

What is your Day to Day Mission:

• Manage management accounting for projects and service activities.

• Prepare budgets and forecasts across projects and products.

• Monitor actual costs, commitments, and budget balances.

• Perform budget vs. actual analysis and explain key variances.

• Allocate costs across projects and ensure their accurate accounting.

• Prepare regular management reports and financial analysis for business leaders

What you bring to the team:

• 3+ years of experience in financial controlling, management accounting, FP&A, or a related field

• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and cost control across projects or business areas

• Experience in budget vs. actual analysis and management reporting

• Understanding of management accounting and cost allocation principles

• Strong Excel skills; experience with ERP systems and BI tools is a plus
