Food Service Worker Substitute

Half Hollow Hills Food Services Department is seeking candidates for Substitute Food Service Workers:

Duties:

Assist in preparation of food
Serve food
Continuously clean work areas
Follow directives of Cook Manager and/or Lead Food Service Worker
Effective and appropriate communication with students and staff
Cashiering and daily cash register reconciliation
Must be willing to perform all aspects of food service
Must be willing to travel throughout the district.

Physical/Other Requirements:

Ability to stand and move on your feet for extended periods
Ability to lift/move food cases weighing up to 40 pounds
Work with exposure to varying temperatures (ie: ovens and freezers)
Must be able to speak and understand English to ensure clear communication with students and staff, to provide safe and effective service in the school cafeteria
Must participate in ongoing training required by FNS/USDA Professional Standards

Hours: vary depending upon location, between 7:00am and 2:30pm.
