Founding Account Executive
Description
About the company
Our client is a cybersecurity company.
The role
Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Join as the first dedicated closer and take full ownership of new business, from the first conversation through signed agreement. The role suits someone who has personally run large, multi-party sales cycles and can also build the prospecting habits and repeatable process a young sales function needs.
What you'll do
- Take ownership of every new-customer opportunity from first call through signed contract.
- Lead long, multi-party sales cycles involving technical, risk and purchasing stakeholders.
- Generate part of your own pipeline alongside inbound leads and meetings booked by the development team.
- Establish a repeatable sales process as the first dedicated account executive.
- Relay customer and market insights to company leadership and the product group.
Requirements
What we're looking for

- Sales background with a complex software product aimed at technical teams.
- Ability to hold credible conversations with security buyers; a technical degree is not required.
- At least one year of experience in a quota-carrying closing role.
- Experience running deals end to end rather than supporting them.
- Willingness to source your own pipeline.
Bonus points
- Background selling into regulated, risk-sensitive buyers.
- Experience as a founding or early account executive at a startup.
