Founding Engineer

About the Role

Join an early-stage B2B SaaS team building a headcount planning platform for enterprise organizations. As a Founding Engineer, you will help shape the product and work closely with founders and customers as the team develops toward product-market fit.

What You'll Do

• Ship product improvements quickly while making thoughtful trade-offs around quality.

• Collaborate with founders to design solutions for customer needs.

• Work directly with customers to diagnose and resolve product issues.

• Independently own substantial parts of the product, from technical design through production release.

• Contribute across engineering, product, and customer support in a small team.

What We're Looking For

• At least 2 years of full-stack software engineering experience building web applications across frontend and backend.

• Experience at a VC-backed startup, as a founder, or as an early engineering hire, including delivering a product from 0 to 1.

• Hands-on experience with TypeScript, Node.js, MongoDB, and GCP, or with multiple web technology stacks.

• Strong systems design, data modeling, and product judgment, with an understanding of how users work with data.

• Experience designing low-latency systems and working with transport or streaming technologies.

• A CS or engineering degree, or equivalent strong technical foundations.

• Comfort working in small teams, taking initiative, and partnering with customers or cross-functional teams to shape a product.

• B2B software experience is valuable, especially in HR or finance.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary: $165,000 to $210,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available.
