Description

About the Role

Join an early-stage B2B SaaS company as its first dedicated designer, reporting to a co-founder. You will shape the user experience and design language for a platform that helps organizations evaluate and hire technical engineering talent.

What You'll Do

  • Learn the needs of recruiters, engineers, and candidates, and identify where interface friction affects the experience.

  • Establish a consistent design language and build a cohesive design system across the product.

  • Use product analytics, session recordings, and user signals to inform and improve design decisions.

  • Partner with engineering, product, and go-to-market teams to create connected experiences across assessment flows and hiring dashboards.

  • Own the website redesign from information architecture and visual design through front-end implementation.

  • Ship improvements through short research and design cycles in a fast-moving startup environment.

What We're Looking For

  • Two to four years of product design experience, paired with front-end engineering skills.

  • Strong experience with Figma and production TypeScript, demonstrated in a portfolio of shipped product work.

  • Experience building and maintaining a design system across a product.

  • Early-stage startup experience, ideally in a founding or early technical design role, and comfort working closely with engineers.

  • Familiarity with product analytics tools, including PostHog, and experience collaborating across engineering, product, and go-to-market teams.

  • Experience designing software for hardware or technical domains, such as CAD, simulation, or developer tools, is valuable.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary: $140,000 to $185,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available.

Location

Hybrid role based in San Francisco, California, with an in-office schedule of three to four days per week.
