New Grad or Experienced Associate Veterinarian – Small Animal GP

Brook-Falls Veterinary Hospital & Exotic Care | Menomonee Falls, WI

Love GP Medicine? Join a Hospital That's Anything but Ordinary.

• Interest In – High-Quality Small-Animal General Practice: Are you an experienced veterinarian who loves comprehensive dog and cat medicine, building lasting client relationships, and having the resources to practice excellent medicine? Brook-Falls Veterinary Hospital & Exotic Care offers an opportunity to focus on small-animal general practice within an AAHA-accredited hospital known for its advanced clinical capabilities, collaborative team, and exceptional diversity of medicine.

Our GP services include wellness and preventative care, internal medicine, advanced diagnostics, comprehensive dentistry, soft-tissue surgery, senior medicine, pain management, chronic disease management, and client education.

While Brook-Falls is widely recognized for its extensive exotic animal medicine, we're equally committed to providing outstanding care for our dog and cat patients. We're looking for an experienced GP veterinarian who wants to make that an important part of their everyday practice.

You don't need to be an exotics veterinarian to belong at Brook-Falls. We're looking for a great GP doctor who loves practicing great medicine.

• New Graduate or Experienced DVMs: Whether you're a new graduate looking for a strong foundation or an experienced veterinarian seeking your next opportunity, we'd love to connect. We recognize that every veterinarian has different career and lifestyle goals, which is why we're open to discussing full-time or part-time opportunities and creating a schedule that works for both you and our team.

New graduates will benefit from our well-developed, structured one-year mentorship program. Your schedule will intentionally overlap with your dedicated Clinical Mentor, so you'll never feel like you're navigating cases alone. Beyond day-to-day clinical guidance, you'll participate in regular mentor meetings, goal-setting workshops, and soft-skill coaching focused on client communication and professional development.

Before your first day in practice, you'll have opportunities to build confidence through hands-on surgical and dental wet labs. Our 5-day Surgical Mentorship Program provides individualized learning in a small-group setting, where participants typically perform 20–40 surgeries under the guidance of experienced mentors. You'll also attend a 2-day Dental Wet Lab, led by one of our board-certified dental specialists, to build confidence in foundational dentistry skills before entering practice.

Experienced veterinarians will enjoy the autonomy, collaboration, and support to continue growing their clinical interests because learning doesn't stop after graduation. In addition to generous continuing education benefits, you'll have access to our Clinical Tracks Program, offering complimentary RACE-approved CE led by our own board-certified veterinary specialists. Whether your passion is surgery, dentistry, internal medicine, leadership, or another area of veterinary medicine, we'll help you continue developing the skills and interests that matter most to you.

Have a special interest? Let's talk about how we can help make it a larger part of your everyday practice.

• A Unique Hospital – Exotics Are Here, but They Don't Have to Be Your Focus: Brook-Falls has developed one of the region's most distinctive exotic medicine programs, caring for an exceptionally diverse range of species, including rabbits, birds, reptiles, and other exotic companion animals.

But we recognize that not every veterinarian wants to practice exotic medicine, and that's okay!

If your passion is dogs and cats, we want you to focus on dogs and cats. You'll still enjoy the benefits of working alongside colleagues with unique clinical interests, sharing knowledge, and being part of a hospital offering a breadth of medicine that is difficult to find in traditional GP.

And if you ever become curious about exotics? You'll have the opportunity to learn from an experienced team and gradually explore additional species at your own pace.

• Supportive, Experienced Technical Staff: Work alongside a skilled and dedicated support team with strong capabilities in anesthesia monitoring, dentistry assistance, laboratory diagnostics, patient handling, treatments, and client communication.

Our team is experienced in supporting both traditional companion-animal medicine and the unique needs of exotic patients, creating a collaborative environment where veterinarians can focus on medicine, case quality, and patient care.

• Facility & Clinical Capabilities: Brook-Falls is a full-service, AAHA-accredited veterinary hospital equipped to support comprehensive dog and cat medicine alongside its extensive exotic services.

The facility includes multiple exam rooms, treatment and diagnostic areas, surgical and dental capabilities, in-house diagnostics, digital imaging, and workflows designed to support thorough, efficient patient care.

For an experienced GP veterinarian, this means having the clinical resources, equipment, and support to work up cases thoughtfully and practice the level of medicine you enjoy.

• Collaborative, Forward-Thinking Doctor Team: Join a collegial veterinary team where case discussion, shared knowledge, and continued learning are valued.

With doctors practicing across a broad range of medical interests, Brook-Falls offers an engaging environment where veterinarians can learn from one another while maintaining their own areas of clinical focus.

You don't have to practice every type of medicine offered within the hospital to be a valuable part of the team. We want you to bring your GP strengths, practice with confidence, and continue growing in the areas you enjoy most.

• Patient Mix – Comprehensive Dog & Cat Medicine: This position is designed for a veterinarian who enjoys a well-rounded small-animal GP caseload, including wellness visits, preventative medicine, dentistry, surgery, internal medicine, diagnostics, senior care, chronic disease management, and client education.

While Brook-Falls also maintains an extensive exotic caseload, the goal of this opening is to add a veterinarian who can focus on and support our dog and cat patients and the clients who love them.

If you have an interest in incorporating exotic cases down the road, we're happy to explore that with you. But if your ideal day is spent practicing excellent dog and cat medicine, there's a place for you here, too.
