Head of Operations - The Bristol Bol

Ready to take on hotel operations in a new and elegant hotel on the island of Brač? We are looking for a passionate hotelier to join our team and create bespoke experience for guests of The Bristol Bol.

Key responsibilities:

• Direct responsibility for the operations of the Food & Beverage (F&B) department, as well as coordination of the front office, housekeeping, administrative and maintenance/technical departments.
• Implementation, monitoring, and improvement of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across all departments to enhance service quality.
• Monitoring of operating expenses (OPEX), procurement optimization, control of food and beverage costs, and workforce management.
• Selection, motivation, and training of department heads, along with addressing daily operational challenges and guest complaints.
• Gradual assumption of responsibility for developing annual business plans, budgeting, and defining the hotel’s pricing strategy.
• Active involvement in sales and marketing operations, contracting with key partners, and monitoring distribution channels.
• Assuming full responsibility for the hotel’s overall financial performance, including revenues, expenses, and profitability.
• Maintaining or reducing F&B costs within established budgetary frameworks (e.g., as a percentage of departmental revenue).
• Optimization of labor costs through efficient scheduling and shift planning within operational departments.
• Improving or maintaining the hotel’s ratings on key platforms (Booking.com, TripAdvisor, Google).
• Reducing turnover among key staff (department heads) and successfully executing employee training programs.
• High rating for internal climate and employee satisfaction within operational departments.
• Achievement or exceeding of the planned Gross Operating Profit (GOP) within departments under direct supervision.

• Qualifications
  • Proven experience in hotel operations (preferably and F&B background)
  • Degree in hotel management
  • Knowledge in using various software for budget and cost control purposes
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and make quick, effective decisions.
  • Good communication skills to coordinate with management and other departments.
