Description
Would you like to be part of a dedicated team that builds desktop and cloud software solutions for strength assessment of renewable, offshore and maritime assets?
Product Engineering Renewables is seeking a Head of Section – Collaboration Platform to lead a software engineering team developing offerings within the Sesam suite of programs. DNV Sesam software (https://www.dnv.com/sesam) is a global market leader in the maritime and oil and gas industries. As the world transitions towards renewable energy, Sesam is becoming increasingly important for the design and operation of fixed and floating offshore wind turbine structures. The Collaboration Platform section develops shared desktop and cloud capabilities for Sesam, including the common desktop framework, Sesam Insight and OneCompute. The section contributes across multiple products and delivery teams, helping create coherent and efficient engineering workflows. The team consists of 10 employees. In addition to line management, you will remain actively involved in software engineering through technical discussions, design and architecture work, and selected hands-on development.
Product Engineering Renewables is part of the Technology department in Digital and Data Solutions in DNV. The unit is responsible for software development, software technology, security, architecture, testing and operations of advanced engineering software such as Sesam and Bladed. It consists of 60 dedicated developers and engineers across locations including Oslo, Bristol, Gdynia and Shanghai. You will join a motivated group of domain experts, professional software engineers, software testers, product managers and technical support engineers who take pride in delivering high-quality software. You will have the opportunity to solve hard and interesting problems.
