JOB SUMMARY
The IT Program Manager leads a team of IT Project Managers and directs a coordinated set of related projects and workstreams to achieve outcomes and benefits that cannot be realized by managing each project independently. The role turns approved portfolio priorities into an integrated program roadmap, assigns and guides project managers across the program, directs cross-project planning and delivery, manages interdependencies, and provides leaders with clear choices when scope, timing, cost, capacity, or risk requires a decision.

In the proposed future state, this role sits in the Program and Project Delivery pillar and works in partnership with the IT Portfolio Manager. The IT Portfolio Manager retains accountability for portfolio strategy, demand decisions, prioritization, investment recommendations, and business relationships. The IT Program Manager owns program execution within that direction, directly leads and develops the IT Project Manager team, and coordinates workstream leads through a matrix model.
