Instructional Assistant Mild to Moderate Support Needs

Requirements / Qualifications

Education/Experience: Graduation from high school and one year experience at the level of an Instructional Assistant or one year experience in working with children with special needs.

Licenses and other Requirements:
Valid first aid certificate and CPR certificate may be required.

In addition to a complete application, you must submit:

Minimum one letter of recommendation (not older than one year and signed with a wet signature)

Must pass Proficiency Test.

Comments and Other Information

Prior to final hiring and placement, the candidate must pass a Pre-Placement Physical Examination paid for by the Newhall School District. The examination may also include a urinalysis for drug screening. The candidate must also receive fingerprint clearance from the California Department of Justice.
