The Role:

As an Inventory Deployment Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring the right stock is in the right place at the right time and at the lowest cost, guaranteeing product availability for internal and external customers across the assigned supply network. Working in a dynamic international environment, you will manage inventory deployment and stock balancing across multiple locations, collaborate with stakeholders across Supply Chain, Logistics, Commercial, Finance and Brewery Operations, and drive operational excellence through continuous improvement and process optimisation.

What will you be doing:

  • Coordinate the deployment of finished goods and empties across breweries, warehouses, co-packing, re-packing, cross-brewing and external production locations.
  • Create, validate and publish stock transfer plans and orders, balancing inventory levels, service requirements and logistics costs.
  • Monitor stock availability, inventory health, stock age and obsolescence risks, taking proactive action to prevent shortages, excess stock and supply chain losses.
  • Balance stock levels while considering production constraints, transport capacity, warehouse occupancy, loading capabilities and customer demand.
  • Perform Availability to Promise (ATP) checks and adjust deployment plans to ensure optimal stock positioning across the assigned network.
  • Manage inbound container planning and cost validation, ensuring efficient and cost-effective inventory movements.
  • Monitor key performance indicators, including Service Level, On Time In Full (OTIF), stock age and Variable Logistics Costs, identifying performance gaps and opportunities for improvement.
  • Work closely with Scheduling, Demand Planning, Supply Network Planning, Order Management, Front Office, Transport Planning and Logistics Operations to ensure effective stock deployment and service delivery.
  • Investigate and resolve stock shortages, overstock situations, warehouse capacity constraints and transport execution issues, acting as a key point of contact for inventory-related escalations and stakeholder requests.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and 5 Whys investigations, implementing corrective actions to improve inventory performance and operational efficiency.
  • Contribute to operational excellence through Logistics Excellence Program standards, management system routines, KPI reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead or support operational projects, process improvements, automation, robotics, new business integrations and system implementations.
  • Support the testing, deployment and stabilisation of new systems and processes, helping ensure successful implementation and adoption.
  • Provide timely reporting, KPI tracking and performance analysis to support decision-making and business performance.
  • Support cost optimisation and Zero Based Budgeting initiatives by preventing inventory losses, avoiding unnecessary stock movements and improving transport utilisation, including reducing the planning of partially loaded trucks.

What you will bring:

  • A degree in Logistics, a higher level of education or equivalent experience.
  • 1–2 years of experience in Logistics or Supply Chain, preferably within the FMCG industry, with experience in stock management, planning, scheduling or transport.
  • A good understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes and inventory management principles.
  • Experience working in a shared services, process-oriented or multicultural environment would be an advantage.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Experience using SAP, with knowledge of Power BI and its application in reporting and performance analysis.
  • Experience using planning software such as O9 would be an advantage.
  • The ability to create and use AI agents would be an advantage.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data, investigate performance gaps and implement effective solutions.
  • A strong ownership mindset and customer focus, with the ability to take responsibility for assigned KPIs and drive results.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and functions in a multicultural environment.
  • Strong decision-making skills and the ability to prioritise workload, manage competing demands and remain effective under pressure.
  • A proactive, continuous improvement mindset, with an interest in operational excellence, process optimisation and cost efficiency.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team while maintaining a strong focus on accuracy, service levels and business continuity.
  • Flexibility to adapt working hours to business needs, including team deadlines, seasonal activity and the bank holiday calendar of the country you support.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken. Knowledge of an additional European language, such as French, German or Dutch, would be an advantage.
