Java Engineer with AI/ML Experience

In this role, you’ll join the engineering team of a global telecom technology company as a fully
integrated member, with TR Labs as your employer and support.

What you’ll do

• Design, build, and ship production-grade software within the client’s platform, primarily in Java
• Develop and evolve backend services, integrations, and data flows
• Contribute to AI/ML and LLM-based initiatives as the product roadmap requires
• Work with product and engineering stakeholders to turn business problems into reliable technical solutions
• Write clean, tested, well-documented code and take part in code reviews and architecture discussions

What we’re looking for

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience, with Java as your main language
• Proven hands-on experience with AI/ML and LLM-based solutions (e.g. model integration, RAG,

agents, vector databases, OpenAI/Anthropic APIs)

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), Docker, and CI/CD
• Solid knowledge of SQL and data handling at scale
• Fluent English, written and spoken
• Ability to work independently in a client-facing, distributed team

Nice to have

• Python, plus experience with other languages such as Go or TypeScript
• Telecom domain experience (roaming, billing, signaling, network data)
• MLOps experience (MLflow, Kubeflow, SageMaker, or similar)
• Kubernetes and microservices architecture
