Description
- Credentials: Law degree, admitted to the Bucharest Bar. A master's in labour, business or EU law is an advantage. Same for genuine interest in the field: thesis, article, moot court. Prior business law firm experience preferred.
- Technical knowledge: Solid command of the Labour Code, the Social Dialogue Law and Posting of Workers legislation: employment contracts, individual and collective dismissals, disciplinary and patrimonial liability, working time, collective bargaining. At 3 - 7 years, hands-on experience with at least two of transfer of undertakings, restructuring or transnational posting. Working knowledge of the relevant EU directives and CJEU case law.
- Skills: Researches properly and never cites from memory. Can run a disciplinary investigation or a collective redundancy end to end. Understands the business question behind the legal one. Handles client contact.
- Languages: Professional English is mandatory.
- Qualities: Rigour, autonomy and resilience under short deadlines, team player, ability to work in multidisciplinary projects.
