About the role
Create visually distinctive, accessible, and effective digital learning experiences. Translate academic content and instructional ideas into polished course interfaces, multimedia, interactive activities, and reusable design systems—not just concepts or recommendations.
How we work
You will prototype and produce alongside faculty, instructional designers, and technology colleagues. We value excellent visual judgment, hands-on experimentation, feedback, and reusable solutions that can scale across courses and programs. Projects move between creative production, course development, and rapid problem-solving.
Key responsibilities
Visual design and learner experience
- Design engaging digital learning experiences using strong visual hierarchy, typography, composition, and information design.
- Turn complex academic material into clear graphics, layouts, and meaningful interactive experiences.
- Apply UX/UI, responsive design, and accessibility principles to navigation and learning content.
Templates and multimedia production
- Create accessible, reusable LMS templates, HTML/CSS layouts, and visual design systems that others can maintain.
- Produce instructional videos, animation, motion graphics, infographics, and other multimedia assets.
- Develop interactive scenarios, simulations, branching activities, and learning objects using appropriate tools.
Instructional design, innovation, and collaboration
- Partner with faculty and instructional designers on course design, learning activities, assessments, and development.
- Build and test learning content; prototype and evaluate AI and emerging technologies for instructional value and usability.
- Support course quality, accessibility, launches, and one-off faculty requests, including activity and technology testing.
- Contribute to parallel programs, reusable resources, shared projects, and continuous improvement.
