Description
You will lead legal and regulatory work for Embedded partnerships and product development. You will draft and negotiate commercial agreements, structure partnerships, translate regulatory requirements into contracts and product requirements, work with Product and Engineering, engage regulators, and support launches across jurisdictions.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate Embedded partnership agreements
- Structure partnerships under applicable regulatory models
- Translate regulatory requirements into contract and product requirements
- Work with Product and Engineering on partner needs and regulatory constraints
- Act as legal counterpart to partners' legal and compliance teams
- Lead legal review and structuring of new products and features
- Engage EU and UK regulators on applicable financial regulation
- Work with Regulatory Counsel on licensing and passporting
Requirements
- Law or business degree, ideally in banking and financial law
- At least 5 years of product or commercial legal counsel experience in fintech, banking, financial services, or a relevant law-firm practice
- Knowledge of MiFID, MiFIR, PSD2, EMD2, MiCA, and DORA
- Experience leading complex B2B contractual negotiations
- Professional proficiency in English
