Overview
This role sits at the center of Ropes & Gray. You will support the firm's most senior leaders and work where strategy, client service, and firm operations meet. The job suits an experienced Executive Assistant who is ready for the next step and does well when the work is fast, the stakes are high, and the priorities change during the day.
You will be a trusted partner to leadership, not only a scheduler. You will anticipate needs before they come up, solve problems before they grow, and represent the firm with judgment and discretion. If you take pride in excellent service, like solving complicated problems, and want to be close to how a leading law firm runs, we would like to hear from you.

What You'll Do
- Act as a strategic partner to senior leadership. Manage complex and changing calendars, set priorities, and keep leaders prepared, informed, and focused on what matters most.
- Keep the office running smoothly. Coordinate high-level meetings, firm events, client engagements, and domestic and international travel, with careful attention to detail.
- Think ahead. Spot conflicts, gaps, and opportunities early. Bring forward solutions, not only problems.
- Act as a gatekeeper and liaison. Build strong relationships with partners, clients, firm leaders, and administrative teams across offices, and do so with tact, warmth, and professionalism.
- Handle sensitive matters with complete discretion. Manage confidential information, correspondence, and communications with sound judgment.
- Drive projects to completion. Track deadlines, action items, and follow-ups across several initiatives at once, and make sure nothing is missed.
- Get things done. Find resources, work through complex processes, and find creative ways to deliver results, even under tight timelines.
- Strengthen the team. Work closely with fellow assistants and business services colleagues, share knowledge, and step in wherever needed.
Who You Are
- Service-minded at heart. You take real satisfaction in making others successful, and you set a high standard for responsiveness and quality.
- A critical thinker. You see the bigger picture, weigh priorities, and make sound decisions without being told what to do.
- A resourceful problem solver. You stay calm under pressure, adapt quickly, and find a way forward when the path is not clear.
- A true team player. You work well with others, build trust easily, and believe the best results come from working together.
- Committed to excellence. You routinely go above and beyond, take ownership of your work, and treat every detail as important.
- Energized by pace. You like a dynamic environment and handle competing demands with composure and good humor.
