Licensed Vocational Nurse

Requirements / Qualifications

One year experience working as a Licensed Vocational Nurse in an acute care setting

• Certificate Copy (A valid California Vocational Nurse License)
• Certification ( A valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate for health care providers. )
• CPR/First Aid Certification (A current and valid CPR/First Aid certification card is required at the time of application.)
• Proof of HS Graduation ((or equivalent))

Comments and Other Information

MUST PASS THE DISTRICT WRITTEN EXAM. Applicants who pass the initial screening will be
notified of the examination date. The written exam will cover English language usage, school and
student safety, first aid, student interaction, and human relations.

This position is part of the California School Employees Association (CSEA) bargaining unit.

After a conditional offer of employment, applicants must meet the following requirements:
1. Must pass District physical examinations and drug/alcohol screening
2. A current TB clearance
3. Fingerprint clearance from the Dept. of Justice and the FBI
